Too Faced Love Flush

It's been about two years since I last tried another blush shade, I have only been using NARS Orgasm for my everyday makeup (which is my all time favourite natural looking blush). Falling in love with NARS Orgasm I never really ventured into trying out another blush since I already found my "holygrail" blush.

In every photoshoot I have done in the past I have worn the same makeup repeatedly and at some point I finally got tired of "wearing the same look" so lately I started experimenting with different eyeshadows then trying out other shades of lipsticks/balms and finally convinced my self to try  different shades of blushes.

Upon researching which blushes to try I found these really cute blushes from Too Faced. They are claimed to be long-lasting (16 hours), are very pigmented but buildable and the packaging is what made it even more irresistible. I mean who could resists these cute heart-shaped pretty blushes?! I can't.

They are cruelty free and are without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.

Your Love is King is a plum / watermelon pink and probably the brightest of all shades (we only have these 3 in Spain!). I definitely recommend that you apply it with a very light hand and blend it well as it could end up looking very unnatural (though I still make the mistake of applying a little bit more, then a bit more without realising that I just applied way too much!).

Love Hangover is a beautiful warm toned pink with a hint of shimmer, I would say that it looks similar to NARS Orgasm only a little more pigmented.

Baby Love is more of a nude / light / pale coral with fine gold shimmer is my favourite shade among these 3 and is the most natural looking blush with just a few swipe to get that naturally rosy pink.

So here comes the verdict..

I am quite surprised they were indeed long-lasting though I never tried to wearing it for more than 8 hours so I could not say for certain if it really lasts more than that but otherwise I am very delighted with my my purchase. Would I repurchase it? Probably yes, though I wish that they have more selections and not only these 3 because I am very intrigue to try the shades Justify My Love and How Deep Is Your Love. The current retail price in Spain is 28.90€ and is available locally at Sephora or online through the El Corte Ingles website.

Clinique Chubby Sticks

Recently upon watching (my favourite Youtube beauty blogger), Tanya Burr's Olivia Palermo makeup tutorial and discovered Clinique's Chubby Sticks. I know that it's not new to any makeup lover but for me after having a bad experience with some of their products few years ago I stayed away from it since. But.. (here comes the but!) after seeing how natural and pretty it looks on Tanya's lips.. I was sold and I knew I wanted to see it firsthand! I have a fair to medium warm skin tone with very pigmented lips so I was not entirely sure if the colours are going to show well when applied on my lips.

Clinique's Chubby Stick is described as "a self-nourishing balm loaded with mango and shea butter."

The first one I got is the shade 19 Supreme Sorbet a pretty light pink but it's very light that it made me look washed out, though I applied a little too much just to make sure it will appear in the picture.

The next one is 17 Plumped Up Pink a subtly shimmery cool toned bright pink but not too bright for daily wear. I'm surprised that it lasted me about 3-4 hours without reapplying, it's moisturising and does not emphasise dry patches.

20 Jumbo Jasmine is one of the best shade among these 5 that I would really consider wearing everyday. It's a slightly cool toned mauve / rose shade which I find one of the most wearable bright pink tinted lip moisturiser that I own and a little bit is enough to give my lips a natural rosy look.

The fourth shade I chose is 06 Woppin Watermelon which is apparently one of the best selling shade  from their permanent collection. It's a pretty ballerina pink and a light swipe to your lips will give you nude lips (depending on your skin tone).

I know for some of you may think that they all look the same or very similar but 07 Super Strawberry  is my favourite among these 5. It's the most natural shade in the permanent collection which matches very close to my natural lip colour and is also another best selling colour that even locally has been sold out on most stores.

I have been wearing this shade since I bought it few weeks ago and has been since my go-to tinted lip moisturiser instead of a lipstick. Don't get me wrong, I love wearing lipsticks but for everyday makeup I prefer something subtle and moisturising because some lipsticks tend to get a little drying at times so I'm really delighted when I found these adorable beauty must-haves. They are lightweight like a lipstick you only need to twist it up for a quick / easy application, they are packed with Vitamin E to help protect your lips against damages and environmental aggressors. There are many shades to choose from that would suit different skin tones. Current RRP is €17.99.

Have you tried these tinted lip moisturiser? Let me know in the comments below! hugs

Ciaté London The Fashion Edit by Olivia Palermo

IMG_3733

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a wonderful year and NYE celebration, I did! (even though it was just in our terrace at home since I was unfortunately been sick since our arrival back in Marbella and unable to go out in the cold haha). I am going to start 2016 with a new post reviewing Ciaté London's Olivia Palermo nail polish collection.

Olivia Palermo teamed up with Ciaté London to create a carefully selected nail polishes & makeup collection. If you don't know yet I'm a great fan of Olivia Palermo, I love her hair and her style. She is at the top of my favourite IT Girls and when I found out about her nail polish collection I knew I got to have at least a few of them!

Since the collection launched I have been tempted to get the first 3 shades but didn't want to get a full bottle not knowing the brand. A few weeks ago I finally decided to get this "The Fashion Edit" set of 4 mini bottles of OP's favourite shades in nude, red, burgundy and a deep purple. I think it's a great idea to have this set of 4 mini bottles for a value of one full bottle for 25GBP (about 35€), that's a steal!

I'm a little strict about nail polish brushes because if the brush is not very good then chances of smudging the nail polish all over my cuticles is high haha (after all I don't like to have to cleanup the smudges since it stains the cuticles).

IMG_3736

I have no complain about the application nor the brush but indeed I am quiet impressed how flattering the shades look on my hands / skintone. I must mention that it lasted about a good week with my Essie All In One Base and Let It Shine Top Coat.

IMG_3751

Sunday's is a powdery pink / nude.

IMG_3753

Hutch a classic red that I am currently wearing.

IMG_3756

Napa Valley is a rich burgundy which reminds me of red wine (and is currently on my Winter essential list!)

The last one on the the set is the colour Brooklyn a deep purple.

"A great nail polish is a girl's best friend."

It's a great set for a value of a huge bottle, love the colours and the gel like formula though my only complain is that it takes a while to dry otherwise it's a great addition to your nail polish collection. I purchase mine from Boots but you could also get it from ASOS.
