Murano, Italy

This is Murano, it's a series of island in the Northern part of Venice and is famous for it's glass making. We went there for a quick lunch and to see their famous "glass making show" in their factory.

I'm back home and still a little under the weather but definitely feeling much better now to blog about our trip. Our (work-related) trip to Venice was really sudden and therefore I really didn't have enough time to prepare and plan our trip properly but luckily I have most of my outfits planned ahead already.

It was a very busy short trip which involves waking up very early and going to bed late, working in the morning then walking and taking the ferry from noon till the sunset and exploring every corner of Venice. Our first day was a little gloomy, it was cold and raining (someone forgot to check the weather haha). We stayed at Hotel Pesaro Palace which is close to most of the places we want to visit. We went almost everywhere, thus there was no time to visit any museum. It was a fun and unforgettable adventure, just thinking how we were in a man-made city above the water is quite remarkable and therefore we decided to stay for one more day. Our time is so precious and limited that we skipped lunch or perhaps just grab something on the way (not to pass out), but the dinners were amazing.. We went to a hidden restaurant called "Giorgione" recommended by the hotel receptionist, the food was great (we ended up eating there again the next day).  It was surreal, I can't babble more about how amazing Venice is it is definitely worth the experience and every minute of being in there.
